In the homestead act the man or woman (parents) can say yes to buying land for $1.25 a acre or can farm land for five years and get it for free.
He or she dosn't need to be a U.S citizen, but you must fill out paperwork that states you intend to become a U.S citizen. Our land is located in California.
SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!!!!
You must be age 21 or older, however, if you served in the Military (da-d-da-dada-da-da-da-da) and where under the age of 21, you could still fill out an application. But! if you fought against the U.S in the war, you are unable to fill out an application
Free and escaped slaves can fill out paperwork to be able to buy land and immigrants could do the same. Also city folk and farmers about to loose land can do the same.
If you are the oldest one in your family, you can fill out an application.
